In 2010, an Ohio man bought an old framed painting from a thrift store for just $14.14—not because he admired the artwork, but because he liked the frame.

When he later opened the frame, he discovered an unexpected surprise hidden behind the painting: a vintage exhibition poster bearing the signature of legendary Spanish artist Pablo Picasso.

The find attracted widespread attention after researchers examined the poster. Some experts concluded it appeared to have been produced during Picasso’s lifetime and could be an authentic, period exhibition print. Others urged caution, noting that while the poster might be historically significant, determining its exact authenticity, rarity, and market value would require extensive analysis.
